This is one of the issues that stir a lot of tension during discussions, debates, and plain chats. Previously, my knowledge of the process of divorce is very limited with the movies I saw. Like for example, the movie, Sweet Home Alabama, it seems that it was just a simple process, where the soon to be ex-couple just sign a paper and then, the marriage is off.
However, I also learned that it is not that easy at all. I have learned from a friend that the partners who are filing for divorce undergo a lot of process and it could take a long time to settle all agreements before the final proceedings. The process can be expensive but it would surely ensure that agreements would be fair.
Also, it would do you good if you at least know some of the basics in family law. Do some research and consult a lawyer which specializes in this area. Sure, it is a lot of hassle to divorce. For me, I could not judge the people who are in this situation. I could only hope that they would pray and seek the will of God, before even thinking about it.
